Contraflor have been established for 11 years and operate throughout the UK, including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Wight and Jersey. We specialize in the refurbishment of buildings of multiple occupation, in particular, nursing and residential homes, secure units and sheltered housing schemes. In addition, we specify and install flooring to purpose built apartment blocks and have recently completed large projects at Leftbank Apartments in Manchester and The Ropewalks in Nottingham, both being very prestigious buildings with a combined total of 320 apartments, in addition, all communal areas were fitted to meet fixed deadlines.
We have recently built and now occupy a modern office block and warehouse in Runcorn, giving us 12000 square feet of accommodation. Employing nine project managers along with numerous support staff we run 15 fitting teams and work all over the UK, undertaking work at an average of 40 different sites per week. Investment in high quality machinery enables speedy uplift of stuck down floorcoverings and reduces the need for expensive time consuming floor repairs in most instances. In addition, our policy of pre-cutting flooring before arrival on site reduces the need for carpets to be cut on site, which can often be a major problem on larger installations.
We currently service major healthcare groups with accommodation in excess of 95,000 bed spaces and housing associations with a combined total of over 136,000 units.
The new facility now incorporates a showroom facility where clients can be shown the latest ranges of floors from the market leaders such as Ege Carpets, Danfloor, Weston’s, Gradus, Amtico, Karndean, Tarkett Marley, Altro, Polyflor and many others.
